Dinner and a Movie is an online weekly dinner and movie series presented by the Flatirons Food Film Festival that everyone who loves food and film can safely enjoy together. With a streaming movie, takeout dishes from recommended restaurants and recipes for dishes related to the film, and expert speakers, each Dinner and A Movie event will offer a Festival experience for the living room.

First Dinner and a Movie event!

FILM: Our first streaming film will be Tazzeka, a drama about a Moroccan boy who wants to become a haute cuisine chef. Tazzeka screened at the 2019 Flatirons Food Film Festival. RESTAURANTS: Moroccan-influenced takeout/delivery meals will be available from Blackbelly and Café Aion in Boulder, Eat at Community in Lafayette, and Fruition Restaurant in Denver.

SPEAKERS: Peggy Markel of Peggy Markel’s Culinary Adventures will introduce the film. After the film, she will discuss Tazzeka with Sara Barbara Geiben Brito of the Good Food 100 Restaurants List and answer viewer questions.


You will receive an email with access information for the streaming film and live Zoom presentation as well as the schedule in the hour before the event. You can join us for a live event that starts at 6:30pm where we eat and watch together. Or, if you cannot make the live presentation, you can still access the film and recorded speakers until 12:30am.
