Welcome to the Arts Hub
Kids Film Festival!
The Arts Hub Kids Film Festival is a unique celebration of young creativity, offering a platform for kids to share their short films (3 minutes or less) and give us an exciting, fresh perspective on the world. Taking place on May 10th at 6 PM in Lafayette, CO, this festival is all about showcasing the vision of young filmmakers—from kindergarten to high school—whose films give us a special glimpse into the way kids see, understand, and express their world.
Whether through playful stop-motion animation, adventurous short films, or heartfelt documentaries, these films are not only a reflection of youth, but a window into the creative child’s mind. With no genre or theme requirements, the festival encourages kids to explore whatever inspires them—whether it’s comedy, fantasy, real-life experiences, or something entirely out of the box just within the magic number of 3 minutes.
For kids, filmmaking is an act of pure joy—dreaming up characters, creating stories, experimenting with costumes, or trying out special effects. It’s an opportunity for self-expression and for seeing their world in new and exciting ways. And as an audience, it’s a chance to experience the world through their eyes.
On the night of the festival, families and friends will be treated to an unforgettable evening, complete with a red carpet, fun activities, and screenings of the selected films. Winners will receive awards and have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session to talk about their work, giving them a chance to share their creative process with the audience.
Even if a film isn’t selected for the main event, it will still be featured in a special screening from 5 PM to 6 PM, ensuring that all young filmmakers have an opportunity to share their work.
The Arts Hub Kids Film Festival is an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate the vibrant imagination and creative spirit of kids. We invite you to submit kids or their parents to submit short films and join us for a night of inspiration, fun, and discovery, as we experience the world through the lens of young filmmakers.
