Dance Company Auditions and Parent Meeting!

Dance Company Auditions and Parent Meeting!

Do you want to take your dancing to the next level?  Come to our dance company parent meeting and auditions! 9-10am Junior Performance Company:  This company is typically ages 6-8 with one to three years of dance experience.  Additional information on required classes can be found here. 10am-11am Parent Meeting:  Parents will learn all about what the performance company does, the specialized training students will receive, and a list of extra events the teams will perform at and grow from. 11am-12pm Intermediate/Senior Companies:  While these are separate performance companies, the Intermediate and Senior students (ages nine and up) will audition together.  Senior students will be expected to accomplish more difficult turns and extensions during auditions. What to Expect: Come dressed to impress!  Tights and leotard of any color are required, as well as appropriate jazz and ballet shoes.  Students may wear form fitting dance shorts or tank tops. Students will engage in a group warm up, then be expected to complete progressions across the floor individually.  A small combination will be taught to students who will perform individually or in small groups.   There will be one small water break during the auditions so dancers should bring a water bottle to avoid missing any choreography. Dancers in performance companies are expected to show an appropriate level of behavioral discipline for their age.  Come with ears ready to listen and minds ready to learn.  We look forward to having you!
